獨協大学法学部法律学科卒業後、バレエダンサーとしてキャリアをスタート。2008年から活動のフィールドをコンテンポラリーダンスに移行し、創作活動を開始。バレエをベースにしながらフェルデンクライス・メソッドのアイデアを取り入れ、身体と感覚の気づき、感性を刺激する表現を追求し始める。その後、ダンサー・振付家としてアジア・中東・東欧などで数々の舞台や国際フェスティバルでダンスのキャリアを積みながら、音楽、ビジュアルアート、文学、フェルデンクライス・メソッドなどを学ぶ。 “Seoul International Choreography Festival 2015” 第3位、審査員賞をW受賞。アーティストとして活動する傍ら、2017年“SAI International Dance Festival”、2018年“DANCERS’ NEST”、“Dance House黄金4422”などの企画や運営に尽力するなど、様々なプロジェクトのプロデュースやマネージメントを行う。2019年は振付家育成事業プログラムとして「コレクティブ・探求/創造/構築」をプロデュース。2019年-2022年 名古屋学芸大学メディア造形学部映像メディア学科にて講師を務める。2021年、京都芸術大学大学院芸術研究科芸術環境専攻超域プログラム修了。
2021年、SC∀L∃Rを立上げ、アーティスト・コレクティブでプロジェクト単位での創作活動を開始。近年は、生物・無生物を問わず、他者と交わり、交換する行為に興味を持ち、身体の動きや音、言葉、物を使って、様々な微や気配を集め、その現象について探っている。
 
Yoko Koike started her career as a ballet dancer and moved her field of practice into contemporary dance in 2008 to undertake her creative process in exploring the sensitivity of a physical body and senses. She incorporates the idea of Feldenkrais Method into the practice based on her background in ballet. Over the years, Yoko built her career as a dancer and a choreographer by taking part in a number of performances and festivals in Asia, Middle East and Europe. Working in the field of art including music, visual arts, literature, Feldenkrais Method have led to her own expression of work.
Alongside her practice, Yoko has been a part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences since 2019 and currently pursuing her research in exploring new ways of artistic expression beyond the constraints of dance practice at Kyoto University of Arts. 2021, M.F.A；finished the Master of Fine Arts.In 2021, she launched SC∀L∃R and started creative activities on a project-by-project basis as an artist collective.
In recent years, she has been interested in the act of mingling and exchanging oneself with another, whether animate or inanimate and she is using body movements, sounds, words, and objects to collect various slight things and signs and exploring about the phenomena.

学生時代、京都を中心に実験音楽系のフィールドで活動し、マルチ・メディア・パフォーマンス・グループ「dumbtype（ダムタイプ)」の立ち上げに参加。創世記のメンバーとして、音楽と音響を担当。1989 年より現在も続く日本初のドラァグクイーンイベント「Diamonds Are Forever」の主催、DJ を務め、京都METRO 他、大阪、東京などで 開催、DJ を務める。2006 年 シンガポールシアター芸術監督 Ong Keng Sen「Geisha」で、シンガポール チャイニーズオーケストラとの共演、2009 年「Diaspora」エジンバラ・フェスティバル公演 （スコットランド）、2010 年 ライティングアーティスト 高橋匡太、平田晃久らとの共同作品「CANON NEOREAL 2010」をミラノサローネ （イタリア）で発表など、2000 年以降、世界中のアーティストとコラボレートを行っている。2020 年　dumbtypeパフォーマンス「2020」に参加。ソロコンサートも精力的に行っている。
 
Born in Osaka, Japan. As a music composer, producer, club DJ and organizer, Yamanaka has collaborated with various artists around the
world. From 1984, he joined the Japanese performance group Dumb Type as a music composer and sound designer. He is organizing the one night club event "Diamonds Are Forever" from 1989. Since 2000, Yamanaka has been collaborating with Singaporean theater director Ong Keng Sen. 

空間に共鳴する身体、概念化された肉体、感情、思考と言った制限によらない粒子の身体をマティエールに、変容、交換が起きる場、プロセスそのものを作品とする。
約20年臨床家として活動・研究。胎生期の幾何学的な成長のプロセスを基軸にした伝統的な治療技術の研究実践者。意識の移行と治癒について、また近年は“現代における安息とは何か“という根源的なテーマについて、宗教や科学とは別の、知覚の変容という観点から探究を深めている。
 
She uses the body that resonates in space, the particle body that is not limited by the limitations of the conceptualized body, emotions, or thoughts as a matiere, and the place where transformation and exchange occur, the process itself, as a work of art.
She has been working and studying as a clinician for about 20 years and is a research practitioner of traditional therapeutic techniques based on the geometric growth process of the embryonic period. In recent years, she has been researching from the perspective of transformation of perception, which is different from religion and science, and she explores the fundamental theme of "what is rest in the modern world" in terms of consciousness transition and healing.
